ecowalls specializes in the application of natural plasters, such as American Clay and traditional Italian lime plaster, for commercial or residential projects

How significant are the health benefits?

We wont lie to you—if you do just a feature wall in your living room, it will look gorgeous, but it wont significantly impact the air quality. For that you need to do the whole room, preferably with the ceiling. (but just the walls will make a big difference, too). As for “how significant”, take a look at This page

Is this suitable for an office?

Absolutely! In fact, given the typically very poor air quality in most offices (electronics, recycled air, etc.), offices are ideal for clay plaster application.

How fast can you come into my home or office to do the work?

We are typically booked 1-2 months in advance. However, if your project is relatively small (a room, a wall, a fireplace, etc.), we will do what we can to “squeeze you in”. Keep in mind that there is no other company in Alberta that specializes in this. Skilled labour is in short supply!

American Clay Earth Plasters are a natural, eco-friendly way to finish any interior. Non-toxic and hypo-allergenic, these plasters are a superior alternative to paint, wall paper, cement, gypsum and acrylic plasters, offering colour depth, richness and texture not found with other finishes. Unlike any other material, clay also enhances the health quality of your space.

If you still want to “go green”, but want a finish that is hard as stone (in fact it IS stone!), consider one of our lime plaster veneers on your surfaces. Lime plasters are extremely versatile: from mirror like finishes that are reflective enough to see yourself in, to a rough finish that looks like old concrete—and everything in between. Perfect for a back splash or a fireplace.
